Use chat in Nouswise

Use chat to ask questions grounded in your current project sources.

Ask a question

1. Open a project from Projects.

2. Click the Focus and ask... field.

3. Enter your question.

4. Click the send button.

5. Review the response and suggested follow-up prompts.

Save a response for later

1. Under the response, click Save as note.

2. Confirm the note appears in the project canvas.

Improve chat quality

1. Keep only relevant sources attached to the project.

2. Ask one focused question at a time.

3. Use follow-up prompts to deepen one answer instead of restarting context.

4. Save high-quality answers as notes for reuse.

If a response looks off-topic

1. Verify you are in the correct project.

2. Check attached sources in Sources.

3. Rephrase the prompt with stricter scope.

4. Retry after adjusting advanced strictness if needed.

Tip: Ask specific questions (for example, chapter-level or section-level questions) to get more precise responses.
