Generate Audio Overview in Nouswise

Use Audio Recap to generate spoken summaries from your project context.

Generate audio overview

  1. Open a project that has at least one source or note.

  2. Click Activities.

  3. Click Audio Recap.

  4. Optional: adjust prompt, style, and length.

  5. Click Run Action.

  6. Wait for the file to appear in the right Outputs panel.

What happens next

  • New Audio Recap output card appears on the right with playback controls.

  • You can open the recap to download audio and subtitle files.

Audio recap settings

  • Custom Prompt

  • Style (for example Deep dive, Brief, Critique, Debate)

  • Length (minutes) slider

  • Save this as a reusable action

Tip: Keep your custom prompt short and specific when generating audio from technical content.

If your audio recap does not appear

  1. Wait for generation to complete.

  2. Confirm you are still in the same project.

  3. Re-run action with shorter length.

  4. Refresh the project if the panel is stale.

Download audio and subtitle files

  1. Open Audio Recap from the right Outputs panel.

  2. In the audio dialog, click Download Audio to save the recap audio file.

  3. Click Download Subtitle to save the subtitle/transcript file.

Tip: Keep both files together when sharing recap materials with teammates.

Check references in audio recap subtitles

Subtitles can include inline source references directly in the recap line text, so listeners can trace statements back to source evidence.

  1. Open the Audio Recap dialog.

  2. Play or scrub the timeline.

  3. Review subtitle lines that include citation markers.

Important: Use downloaded subtitles when you need a searchable, reference-aware recap record.
