What is a project in Nouswise?

A project is the container for your sources, chat history, saved notes, and generated outputs.

Why did Nouswise create a new URL when I selected a source?

Selecting a source in Create Project creates and opens a new project URL (/c/<project-id>).

Can one source be reused in multiple projects?

Yes. Use Attach Files -> Choose from library to reuse sources.

How do I add more files after project creation?

Open your project, then use Sources -> Attach Files.

Why is chat using the wrong context?

You likely have unrelated sources attached. Remove irrelevant sources and retry.

What does “Restricted” project access mean?

Only users with explicit access can open the project link.

What does “Anyone with the link” mean?

Anyone with the URL can open the shared project.

How do I ask a better question?

Use one focused prompt at a time and reference a specific source section.

Where are follow-up questions shown?

Below each completed chat response.

How do I save a response as a note?

Click Save as note under the response.

Can I organize notes?

Yes. Add tags on each note card footer and use clear titles.

Can I download notes as PDF or DOCX?

Yes. Open a note, click Download, then choose Download as Word (.docx) or Download as PDF (.pdf).

What if “Save as note” does nothing?

Retry after response completes and confirm you are still in the same project.

Activities and outputs

Where do I generate outputs like audio, slides, or quiz?

Open Activities in the left sidebar and choose the desired action.

Where do generated files appear?

In the right Outputs panel.

Why don’t I see outputs yet?

Generation may still be running. Wait, then refresh project state.

What options exist for Audio Recap?

Custom prompt, style, length slider, and reusable action toggle.

What options exist for Slide Deck?

Format, number of slides, style, detail, quality, custom prompt, and reusable action toggle.

Can I export generated reports as PDF or DOCX?

Yes. Open the report output (for example Briefing Doc), click Export, then choose Download as Word or Download as PDF.

Is the slide deck editable after download?

Yes. Slide Deck downloads as editable .pptx files.

Where are slide references shown?

References are provided in slide speaker notes in the exported deck.

Can I download audio recap subtitles?

Yes. In the Audio Recap dialog, use Download Audio and Download Subtitle.

Does audio recap include source references?

Subtitle lines can include inline citation markers so recap statements remain traceable.

What options exist for Infographic?

Style, orientation, detail, custom prompt, and reusable action toggle.

What options exist for Flashcards and Quiz?

Question length (short/normal/long), difficulty (easy to extreme), custom prompt, and reusable action toggle.

I generated an output but quality is low. What should I do?

Narrow sources, strengthen prompt constraints, and rerun with higher detail.

Can I create mind maps directly?

If you do not see a dedicated Mind Map action, you can use Charts, Infographic, or a custom prompt to create mind-map style output.

How do I switch light/dark mode?

Open account menu -> Settings -> General -> Theme.

How do I change language?

Open account menu -> Settings -> General -> Language.

Where do I change model and generation behavior?

Open account menu -> Advance Configurations.

What can I change in Advance Configurations?

Model, Generation (deterministic toggle), and strictness.

Is there a single “Mode” switch?

No. Visual theme is managed in Settings, while generation behavior is managed in Advance Configurations.

Use the upgrade dialog to review monthly/yearly and plan features.
